Is this a credit card?
No, it's not a credit card. The READY debit™ Visa® Prepaid Card is a better way for you to manage your spending. Unlike a credit card, you load money on your card before you make purchases, so you can choose just how much to spend. Since you're not borrowing money, there are no credit checks, interest charges or late fees!
Where can I use the card?
Anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, worldwide: at millions of stores, on the internet, at the gas pump, and more.
Can I withdraw money at an ATM with my READY debit card?
Absolutely—at any ATM that displays a Visa, Interlink, or NYCE acceptance marks. You'll need to enter your personal identification number (PIN) and choose "Checking" for the account type.

Visa    Interlink    NYCE

You can withdraw up to $500 per day using an ATM and $2,500 per day from a bank teller.
What are the fees?
Our aim is to keep fees low for our customers. See our complete list of fees and compare.
How do I load money onto the card?
The best way is to sign up for direct deposit. It's free, easy, and saves you money—you'll avoid check cashing fees.  More information on other ways to load money.
What is the maximum amount of money I can have on my card at one time?

Yes, our online bill pay service allows you to pay anyone online. If the recipient can't take online funds, we'll even print a check and mail it to them.   More information on online bill pay.
Can I pay at the gas pump?
In most cases, yes. If the card is declined at the pump, pay the cashier inside. When you pay at the pump a $75 hold will be place on the funds in your account until the transaction has cleared your account.  To avoid this $75 hold, just pay inside.
Can I overdraw my account?
Your READYdebit™ Card is designed to help you avoid overspending—if you don’t have the funds to make a purchase, we will decline the transaction. But in the rare event that a store does let a transaction go through, even if you don't have sufficient funds, you are, of course, still responsible for the full amount of the purchase.
What if I forget my PIN or suspect someone else knows it?
It's important that you keep your PIN a secret. Never write it down or share it with anyone. To have a new PIN issued, please call us at 866.295.2460.
How do I report a lost or stolen card?
Call 866.295.2460 immediately.
What's the difference between a "credit" and a "debit" transaction?
When you make a purchase, you’ll either need to enter your PIN (merchants call this a "debit" transaction) or sign a receipt (merchants call this a "credit" transaction—even if you use a prepaid card). If you choose “debit,” and enter your PIN, some merchants will offer you the chance to get cash back. If you choose “credit,” and sign a receipt, your transaction is guaranteed to be covered by Visa’s Zero Liability policy.
